A New Dawn

Awakening to a New Consciousness

What is Truth?

This is a question that has undoubtedly occurred to most, if not all, of us, at one time or another. And very few have found a complete answer to that question. It's not for lack of wanting or trying. But we must consider that, in our searching, we have been effectively hobbled by the things we've been taught since we were born.

We've been told what's good and bad, what's right and wrong. We've been taught what people to have as friends, and what people to despise or pity. We've been taught what political parties we should belong to or vote for, what religion to believe, and what foods are good or bad for us.

But how many of us were taught as children to think for ourselves? And how many of us, when we almost inevitably did start to think for ourselves and express those thoughts, were told that we were wrong, disobedient, sassy, smart-mouthed, or any number of other adjectives designed to keep us in check and under control of those in authority?

In our youth, we are taught the lessons that are with us for a lifetime. Those lessons are reinforced by our experiences, unless we allow ourselves to seek other experiences that teach other lessons, lessons that contradict the supposed "common wisdom" of our forebears. Yet we must learn to choose those lessons, where we can, that will promote our continuing growth, as individuals and as societies.

Yet today, we hear of children and other young people engaging in destructive actions and attitudes. Many of these are excused by their parents as being "indigo" or "crystal", and therefore we should learn from them. Yet their very actions speak of a total lack of self-discipline. How and what, then, can we learn from them?

Who are they really? Are they simply rebellious, wayward children? No, they are not wayward, they simply lack the discipline to act constructively and lovingly. It is up to us, as their parents, teacher and guides, to help them develop that discipline within themselves.

Consider: The Akashic records speak of the downfall of Atlantis, brought about by the youth of that great continent-city. What did they do? They refused to learn from their elders, and chose instead to apply their technological and other knowledge without first seeking the wisdom necessary to apply that knowledge constructively.

These "indigo" and "crystal" children are the Atlantian laggards, the very ones who brought about Atlantis' destruction. We, and especially they, have a second chance to act in accord with Truth, Wisdom, and Love. If we do nothing, that same destruction could come to us, in this present time, as Mother Earth seeks to heal herself from the destruction we and our forebears have already wrought.

We are now in the Age of Aquarius, an age of Divine Consciousness, in which we may awaken the divinity within us, and teach it to our children. And they are all our children. Yet if we do not learn Truth and apply love and wisdom in our actions and attitudes, through which we teach, then what was, will be again. We must these children to discipline themselves to seek Wisdom. But not in any of the old ways, which led to the rebelliousness we see today. No, we must teach with knowledge and awareness, and the learning and living of Truth, with gentleness and experience of the blessings we've received. We must draw a line between criticism and loving guidance.

And we must start by doing the work necessary to learn Truth and Wisdom ourselves, with love and receptivity, without judgment or condemnation, or we will not have anything to teach the children. Not just the "indigo" and "crystal" children, but ALL children.

One of the most difficult challenges that our youth face is to distinguish between old "dogma" and wisdom of experience. That too, however is something that we must teach them.

You are correct, Diogenes. But even for that, we have tools. We can observe, and see what manifests from what we observe. As my Teacher, Master Berry, puts it, "Manifestation is the PROOF of Truth."

We know what has manifested from the old dogma, for we see it all around us: greed, power-lust, et cetera. This is what we must deal teach our children to be wary of.

yes, we must get beyond these new age labels--until we are truly one in the I AM, we fail to progress towards our ultimate consciousness. we really know nothing of an individual's path and we learn even less by ascribing a soul group label--it's seeing the field instead of breathing in the wonder of each petal of every bloom and blade.

Well said. Ican also suggest " The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz.
An excelent accounting of the "programing " process that we all go through and how to overcome it !

Thanks for your reply. I have read the four agreements and refer it to everyone that I can. Is a wonderful foundation for rebuilding the life of true spirituality.

I'll also recently read Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth" which I highly recommend and have included several excerpts in my video section.
